Anything can happen in the final stages of the season – and here is a break-down of all six Betfred Super League fixtures taking place in Round 26...
Leeds Rhinos v Catalans Dragons
The Rhinos are on a five-game winning run in Super League, keeping their opponent scoreless in their last two fixtures (Giants and Hull FC).
They will be looking to become just the second team in competition history to hold opponents scoreless in three straight games (Wigan Warriors did this in September to October 2024).
Leeds must win in order to keep their chances of a second-place finish alive. Will Catalans come and cause them any problems?
Weighted predictions: Rhinos (3 points), Dragons (7 points)
Leigh Leopards v St Helens
Leigh could seal a top four finish on Friday Night if they beat St Helens, and it’s looking promising for it’s the Leopards who have won their last three Super League games against the Red V.
Their home form is on fire at present, for Leigh have won five of their last six Super League games at Leigh Sports Village, including their last two in a row by a combined score of 84-12.
But as the saying goes…Never write off the Saints!
Predictor weightings are evenly split for this one – who are you backing?
Weighted predictions: Leopards (5 points), Saints (5 points)
Wigan Warriors v Castleford Tigers
Wigan Warriors v Castleford Tigers
The champions have won each of their last 11 Super League games against Castleford Tigers – and are obvious favourites in this week’s Predictor, especially with second place and the potential of a home Semi-Final at stake.
However, their last two victories against the Tigers have come by margins fewer than seven points after each of the previous eight were decided by 10+ points.
Let’s not forget Cas will also be boosted by their emphatic Rivals Round Returns win over Wakefield, and effectively have nothing to lose in their remaining fixtures.
Could this be closer contest than initially anticipated?
Weighted predictions: Warriors (2 points), Tigers (8 points)
Wakefield Trinity v Hull KR
There’s an epic showdown incoming at the DIY Kitchens Stadium on Saturday evening. Hull KR have the chance to wrap up the League Leaders’ Shield once and for all, while it’s a must-win game for the hosts with sixth place still theirs to lose.
The Robins have won each of their last five Super League games against Trinity, including a comfortable 34-10 home win in Round 16, and a tight 12-14 victory back in Round 2.
Their meeting in Round 2 was the last time Hull KR paid a visit to Wakefield’s ground, where a rather intense match-up unfolded.
Can we expect more fireworks on Saturday, and who will be smiling at the end of it? The league leaders are Predictor favourites, but only just!
Weighted predictions: Trinity (6 points), Robins (4 points)
Hull FC v Warrington Wolves
Predictor weightings are evenly split for Saturday’s second Super League match, where Hull FC welcome Warrington Wolves to the MKM Stadium.
Hull still have plenty to play for, but are a side riddled with injuries and suspensions for their upcoming fixture. Meanwhile, Warrington, although completely out of contention for the Play-Offs now, have their pride to restore and will be hoping they can end their season on a somewhat high.
It’s one a piece in Super League this year, but who will be winners in Round 26?
The Black & Whites have to win and hope Trinity lose to keep their Play-Off hopes alive…
Weighted predictions: Hull FC (5 points), Wolves (5 points)
Huddersfield Giants v Salford Red Devils
It’s at battle at the bottom of the table, but who will you be predicting to win in the penultimate round?
Both teams come into this game on the back of defeats in Rivals Round Returns, but which side will sending their fans away with a win?
Weighted predictions: Giants (3 points), Red Devils (7 points)
